Today is January 10, 2024. This message is for Boynton Middle School students and staff only. There is no school for BMS students today due to an issue with our well. Staff should report to Highbridge Hill Elementary School at their normal time. Mr. Fondas has work for you to complete throughout the day.

There was an altercation @MRHS that resulted in a window being broken in the cafeteria which required attention from New Ipswich PD. This altercation resulted in a hand injury and an ambulance response for treatment. It is important to know that everyone is safe at this time. Students immediately involved in the incident have been identified and their families have been notified.

A Message From Dr. Martin: On or about 5:00 AM on a wintery weather day, our facilities director calls my home to report on the road conditions in New Ipswich. His report includes information from the road agent, the bus company and Precision Weather. We also consider power outages and other conditions which may impact the ability of our students and staff to safely get to our schools. Shortly thereafter, if school is canceled or delayed, you will receive an automated call from me. There will also be a Facebook posting, a text message and notification to WMUR.

The Mascenic Regional School District is proud to welcome Mr. Christopher Saunders as Interim Principal at Highbridge Hill Elementary School. Mr. Saunders will fill the role for the remainder of the school year. As many of you know, Mr. Saunders is currently teaching grade 4 at HHES. We will create a transition plan that moves him into the principalship, with minimal disruption to the students in his grade 4 class. We look forward to a wonderful school year with Mr. Saunders at the helm.

Good Afternoon Mascenic Families, Once again social media is providing misinformation. It has come to our attention that a walk out is being planned at MRHS. This is unnecessary. I want to reinforce that we take all issues of student safety very seriously. A firearm is serious. There is a process outlined by the law that we are following with the assistance of our attorney. The rumors on social media are not true. We ask for the community’s help to stop the rumor mill and trust that the law is being followed with integrity.

Dear Mascenic Families, This morning, May 8, 2023, a student accidentally brought a turkey hunting rifle to school in their vehicle. Our preliminary investigation indicated that no threat was made to any person at MRHS or elsewhere. N.I. P.D. was on the scene to secure the weapon and remove it from school property. All students/staff were and continue to be safe. We take all incidents of this nature, very, very, seriously.

During Spring Break our Facilities staff was able to participate in Custodian Training, where they learned about post-pandemic cleaning technologies and techniques in a great setting with other peers who tackle some of the same daily challenges!
