Last Friday, MRHS Science students got to attend a ZOOM call with Dr. Friehauf from Kutztown University, who is a Professor of Geology. Through the call, students were able to control Kutztown University's Field Electron Scanning Microscope, a scientific instrument that can magnify objects up to 300,000x (the regular high school compound microscopes can only go up to 1,000x) and see on the scale of as small as a few nanometers. Students could volunteer to choose samples to explore and move around. Some of the samples included strands of hair, wings of various insects, salt and pepper, and even a dinosaur eggshell. Can you identify which is which?

Tonight the NIPD reported to administration that a threat had been made towards the school by a 6th grade BMS student. The NIPD investigated the incident and determined the threat wasn’t viable. However, we take these incidents seriously and will need to conduct our own investigation. The student who made the threat will not be in school tomorrow. Should your child be spoken to by the administration regarding this matter, you will be notified. Should your child know something about this matter, they should report to the office first thing in the morning. Should you have concerns, please contact Boynton Middle School at 603-878-4800.

Don't forget to come out and vote...and bring your kids! There are Kids Vote stations at each of the polls! Schools have been talking about the democratic process and this is a great opportunity to demonstrate it's relevance! Each school has a specific question that students will be voting on! Greenville polls are open 8AM-7PM and New Ipswich polls are open 7AM-7AM!

As many of you are aware, a staff member at HHES and resident of Greenville lost her house in a fire this past Saturday. Unfortunately, her elementary age grandchildren living in the home were also impacted by this loss. Thankfully, everyone in the multigenerational home was able to get out safe but they have lost everything. Our community has always come together to support each other and we wanted to share ways to help;

HHES is collecting donations in their front office for the following items;
-Girls size 5 clothing and size 10 shoes/boots
-Boys size 10/12 clothing and size 4 shoes/boots
-Womens shirt sizes L and XL and pants sizes small and large/14
-Mens shirt size L and XL and pants size 34x30/32 and 32x32

There is also a go fund me that was setup for the family.

MRHS does not have water. Multiple professionals are on site trying to diagnose the issue however we cannot keep students and staff without running water. Lunches are being pushed up and buses are on their way. Students will be dismissed for the day at 11:00. This only impacts Mascenic Regiona High School. Mr. Pickering will reach out staff regarding the location of the PD tomorrow as soon as information is available.
