At MRHS Mr. Vacarelo's Criminal Justice class welcomed members of the Hillsborough Country Sherrif's Office today! They learned about the history of the sheriff's office, the different roles and responsibilities of deputies, and how to pursue a career in law enforcement and dispatch. One student even earned a challenge coin for her outstanding engagement with the presentation. Thank you, HCSO! ✨️👍

Busy day at the district wide professional development day! Training with Blue U on school safety, vertical alignment in curriculum discussions, wellness activities, de-escalation training, and suicide prevention training. Students benefit when staff receive training on best practices. It's been a productive two days!!! Thank you to all staff for the invested participation and the collaboration!

The Mechanical Vikings had an amazing day at the FIRST Tech Challenge NH State Championships at NHTI in Concord on Saturday. They finished 6th out of 29 teams and once again impressed the judges and their opponents with their new and improved climbing mechanism that they constructed from a pair of $3 tape measures from Harbor Freight. For their creative solution to this year's most difficult challenge, they won the Innovate Award. This award earns them the opportunity with only six other teams from New Hampshire to move on to compete at the FIRST New England Premier Event at the Big E in Springfield, MA on April 4th and 5th.
In the attached photos, the Vikings are admiring their top level ascent that they achieved 5 times on the day. Only one other team made it to the top level. See if you can find the familiar face of someone from Mascenic who came to cheer us on! 💙
Today, Monday February 17th, school is canceled. Unfortunately, the wind has caused a significant problem and between our maintenance crew and the road agent, there are concerns about the buildings and roads being ready by the delayed start time so we are canceling school. We apologize for the inconvenience but student and staff safety remain paramount.
