Upcoming Spring Assessments for Grade 11 Students

This spring, our 11th grade students will participate in two important assessments that help measure their academic progress and readiness for life after high school.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, all juniors will take the SAT School Day assessment. This is a great opportunity for students to take the SAT during the school day at no cost to families. Many colleges use SAT scores as part of the admissions process, and students may also choose to use their scores for scholarship opportunities.

Students will also participate in the NH SAS Science Assessment on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. This statewide assessment helps measure student learning of important science concepts and skills and provides valuable information that helps schools continue to improve instruction.

Families can help students do their best by encouraging them to:

Get a good night’s sleep before testing
Eat breakfast
Arrive at school on time
Approach the assessments with a positive mindset

We appreciate your partnership in supporting our students. Additional details will be shared with students prior to each testing date.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

A hero, it might be said, is called into being when perception of a need and the recognition of responsibility toward the need are backed up by the will to act. We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the heroes in our community at American Legion Post 13 for their generous donation to the Music Department here at MRHS. They have gone above and beyond the call to ensure that students in the community will have the opportunity to explore and grow in the world of music.

Goodafternoon BMS Families! We wanted to remind you that parents should not be dropping off students in the morning at our main entrance until AFTER 7:40AM as this causes issues with buses being delayed and unsafe circumstances for students. Please call the main office should you have any questions. Thank you!

Dear Mascenic High School Families,

It has been a busy and eventful week here at Mascenic High School, filled with meaningful learning experiences and opportunities to showcase our students’ talents.

On February 3 and February 6, the UNH STEM MoBILE visited all science classes. Students participated in a hands-on bio-fabrication lab and had the opportunity to explore the STEM Mobile itself. These interactive experiences allowed students to engage directly with cutting-edge scientific concepts and helped bring classroom learning to life in an exciting and authentic way.

In addition, on February 4, Mr. Giuffre led a consortium of high school and middle school concert band performers during the School Deliberative Session. Our students’ talent and professionalism were on full display as they proudly performed the National Anthem to open the event. It was a wonderful example of collaboration across grade levels and a moment that reflected great pride in our school community.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. Weeks like this highlight the many ways Mascenic students learn, lead, and shine

The MRHS Wrestling Team hosted a sanctioned meet yesterday. ConVal made the trip down the road from Peterborough and the MRHS gymnasium was energized- to say the least! The stands were nearly full and there was plenty to cheer about as our Vikings emerged victorious overall! Hats off to our student athletes and coaches - Ben Shippee and Liam Hayden! This program has grown tremendous and the future looks bright for the sport here at MRHS!

We apologize for this inconvienance; it is not something we do lightly. We will provide an update to the community later today. Boynton and Mascenic are open.
