BMS and MRHS- it was great to see our future Freshmen today!!! Course selection for the high school is underway! Freshman families should expect to see course selection sheets Monday afterschool. They are needed back to staff by Wednesday! All other classes should have already turned in their sheets to our counseling department!
MRHS- We are thrilled that student participation increased enough to move ahead with our plan to bring Freshman on the CTE field trip to Conval on Monday, March 27th and Sophomores on the CTE field trip Conval on Tuesday, March 28th. Students who did not turn in permission slips will continue with their regularly scheduled classes.
MRHS- Freshmen and Sophomores: The field trip to tour Conval's CTE programs has been rescheduled for March 27th (freshman) and March 28th (sophomores) however depending on participation, we may take one mixed group on March 27th. We need to have students turn in their completed permission slips by Friday, March 24th. The trip takes place during the day (8:30-11:00) and will be excused from their classes. This is a great opportunity to see the variety of programs that Region 14's CTE center has to offer! MRHS Juniors- SAT's are Wednesday, March 22nd. Students need to arrive on time at 7:35 and head to the cafeteria to check in. All students will have a breakfast "on the house" before testing begins at 8:00. Students who arrive after 8:00 will not be allowed to take the SAT. A special lunch will be available to students after the test is completed since it doesn't coincide with our lunches. Students who plan on leavivng after the SAT need a note from a parent in order to be dismissed and excused.
To ensure chromebooks are charged for Wednesday, Juniors need to bring both their chromebook and charger to school on Tuesday, March 21st. We will collect and charge all chromebooks Tuesday afternoon/night.

MRHS- We have very few students registered for Spring Sports on FamilyID. Students will not be able to participate in Tuesday's tryouts without having a completed registration. Coaches will also remind students at Monday's tryouts.
MRHS- We have rescheduled our Winter Sports Awards banquet from tonight March 15th, 2023 to March 28th, 2023. 5:30 pizza in the cafeteria, 6:00 in the auditorium! We hope to see you there to celebrate our winter athletes!
MRHS-As Dr. Martin noted in her message, tomorrow, March 14th students will participate in "snow day learning"! Students have assignments from thier teachers and should spend no more than 3 hours on their work. These activities were designed to do with or without access to power/internet. That being said, please do not stress if your student cannot find their work or if the situation at home is such that it's untenable to complete work. Staff will be flexible with late work and grading! Most importantly, be safe, have fun, and I wish everyone a successful snow cleanup!
MRHS- Thank you NHS for organizing another successful blood drive with the Red Cross! A huge thank you to all who helped to make this event possible, especially those (many students included) who donated blood!
MRHS- We are canceling our Spring Sports Information night that was scheduled for this evening, March 13th. Please be on the lookout for an email blast and news article with details on Spring Sports! Practice times and dates are under "Spring Sports".
MRHS- Juniors and families: The SAT is March 22nd! Pre-registration will take place in ELA classes on the 17th of March. This the NH state assessment that covers English Language Arts and Math. The NH Science test will be April 13th. For more information please see our news article!
MRHS-Come out and support the MRHS Cheer team at the state championship tonight, March 9th at Pinkerton Academy. The doors open at 5:00, the session begins at 6:00 and MRHS are set to perform at 6:24. GO VIKINGS!
MRHS- We had to re-schedule the field trip scheduled for 3.13.23 to Conval for our Freshman and Sophomores! Please please please turn in the permission slips; we will students and families with the new date as soon as we can confirm busing!
MRHS- Any Junior or Senior interested in attending the field trip to Mount Wachusett Community College on Friday, March 10th, must return a completed permission slip to the Counseling Center no later than tomorrow morning, Tuesday, March 7th. If students have questions they should see Ms. Benoit.

MRHS- Yesterday, Jen Kiley, the CTE director from Conval met with Freshman and Sophomores to discuss the variety of opportunities available to students at MRHS. Please see the News Article for links to the presentation, video and program of studies.
The CTE Open House that was scheduled for this evening was rescheduled for March 9th, 2023, 6:30-8:00 at Conval. Students and families will have an opportunity to meet the teachers and preview activities they would be completing in class.
Freshmen and Sophomores will be touring the CTE programs on March 13th. Field trip forms will be handed out on March 6th, 2023 and we will need them returned by March 10th, 2023. They will be picking classes for next year the week of March 13th.

Friday- Cowboy/girl day!
MRHS- Today school counselors met with Juniors who took the PSAT to review test scores. Please see the news article for more information!
MRHS- We are looking for your help!! In our effort to be transparent and elicit the most help possible, we wanted to share some recent observations and requests: Our gym is small! Movement in and out of the gym, specifically at the end of the girl's games, has been distracting to players on the court . All spectators should do their best to restrict movement while athletes are engaged in active play; wait until the quarter ends, timeout, etc. There are a lot of spectators that mill around after games, however, our custodial staff need time to be able to clean the space for classes the next day. After the final game of the evening, if spectators clean up around them and exit as soon as possible, it would help and allow our staff to do what they need to do! We appreciate your support for our students, our teams, and our school! Thank you!
