The automotive magazines and books pictured here offer students opportunities to connect reading with their interests and career goals. Mr. Wilson is making a conscious effort to enrich our Auto program through daily reading, writing, and dialogue activities that complement hands-on learning.
This work brings MRHS’s schoolwide literacy goal to life: helping students build comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence through purposeful reading across all content areas. Whether students are exploring automotive history or discussing what they’ve read, they’re developing skills that support learning in school and beyond.
Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for making literacy a meaningful part of vocational learning!

Mr. Hagar hit the ground running, with students applying real-world skills daily—measuring, building, solving problems, and seeing their efforts become something tangible. We’re proud of their work and the opportunities this program is creating!
Is your student interested in Building Trades for next year? I’d be happy to take interested parents and guardians on a tour to see the program in action. Please contact the school to arrange a visit!
