Pottery Wheel Throwing Club - This club will demonstrate and teach the basic understanding of the technical process, concepts, and practices of pottery wheel throwing. By the end of each session, students will be able to throw basic forms on the wheel including bowls, cups and plates. Students will complete at least 1-2 pieces of pottery (of their choice) over 3 classes. The 4th class will be designated to glazing their fired pottery. An email will be sent home after sign up with the session information. Each student will be assigned one session once all spots have been filled.
The pottery wheel club will be held during 4 different sessions, each session consisting of 4 separate classes. Each session's max capacity is 3 students. There will be a total of 12 students for all 4 sessions. Each session will run after school from 2:15 - 4:00 pm.
Session 1:
November 28, 29, 30, December 4 (Tues, Wed, Thurs & the following Mon; first 3 sessions)
Session 2:
December 5, 6, 7, 11
Session 3:
December 12, 13, 14, 18
Session 4:
Jan 9, 10, 11, 16
