Lindsay Heaphy

Nurse

Welcome!

Hi! I’m Mrs. Heaphy.

As the school nurse I am responsible for administering scheduled medications, assessing student/staff health, assisting students/staff during health emergencies, completing routine screenings, and encouraging/educating students and staff on healthy habits! I am also quite skilled in other tasks such as band-aiding, ice packing, snack dispensing and "watering"!

I am very passionate about preventative healthcare, education and helping others make sense of their own health and individual needs. Middle school aged children are in a very unique and special point in their lives as they are managing hormone surges, body changes, relationship building, academics, athletics and trying to figure out where they fit in. I strongly believe that we cannot manage these changes if our health is failing! I like to approach my practice with a focus on educating students about their health so students come away from my office with more than a bandaid, asprin, or waterbottle.

It is an honor and a privilege to care for your child’s safety and wellbeing while they are here with us at BMS!

Thank you!

All students should have the over the counter medication consent filled out at the begining of the year. This allows Mrs. Heaphy to administer medicines like advil, tylenol, tums, etc.

Here is the OTC consent form.

Students who will be taking prescription medications at school need to have the Prescription Medication in School form completed.
