Pursuant to RSA 32:5-c lll, the Mascenic Regional School Board will hold a public hearing on a petitioned Warrant Article seeking to adopt a local tax cap for the Mascenic School District. The petitioned article reads: Shall we adopt the provisions of RSA 32:5-b, and implement a tax cap whereby the governing body (or budget committee) shall not submit a recommended budget that increases the amount to be raised by local taxes, based on the prior fiscal year's actual amount of local taxes raised, by more than 1.2%?
This Public Hearing shall take place on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Mascenic Regional High School, 175 Turnpike Road, New Ipswich, NH for New Ipswich residents. In the event this hearing is canceled due to snow, it shall take place on Monday, February 26th, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. at the Mascenic Regional High School, 175 Turnpike Road, New Ipswich, NH
