For the past month First Grade Students have been working hard on a fun unit in Science. Students have been learning how animals adapt to their habitat with their special creature features. As a final wrap up on the unit, students had to ID a small problem or challenge they encounter in their daily lives. Students then chose an animal whose unique feature could help to solve that problem/challenge. Students had to research an animal's special trait, and explain how the animal's special features will help overcome their challenge. The final outcome is a written research report about the animal the student chose, a clear explanation of the problem and the solution, with a fun visual representation showing how the animal's special feature will help the student.
