One of the ways we promote literacy at HHES is through our One School, One Book program. Each year, the entire school reads aloud from the same chapter book. This year our book was the classic story of Stuart Little by E.B. White. As part of our culminating celebration, Mrs. Matson and Mrs. Johnson hosted a Picnic in Central Park for the students featuring snacks inspired by the story. Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring this event and helping to build a community of readers!
